G4S grilled over Palestine at its AGM
Palestine Solidarity Campaign joined with other groups at the G4S annual general meeting on 4th June to interrogate the security company over its contracts with the Israel Prison Service and MoD.
The G4S chief executive, clearly under pressure, was asked to give a precise month and year for the company’s withdrawal from its Israeli contracts – which it had announced at last year’s AGM – but would only commit to ‘the end of 2017’, saying it was impossible to provide an exact date. Before the meeting began, activists staged a protest outside the London venue.

The Guardian reported on the protest: ‘G4S meeting descends into chaos‘ and on the banning of technology from the AGM: ‘G4S bans phones at 2015 AGM‘. The Mail Money section also covered G4S’s “blunder” at its own AGM.
