Israeli bulldozers demolish EU-funded shelters
The European Union has denounced action by the Israeli authorities on 10th March in demolishing shelters in occupied East Jerusalem. Some 200 temporary shelters had been funded by the EU for use by Bedouin communities just outside Bethlehem.
The action was taken by the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, which has declared the area a national park. The process of annexing a corridor of land makes the creation of a contiguous Palestinian State impossible.
