Liberating Theology, Resisting Empire

Global Sabeel online gathering on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People – 29th November.

We are delighted to invite you to join us, in partnership with Sabeel Australia and Sabeel members from around the world, to a webinar that explores the role of Empire in the fragmentation and colonisation of Palestine, and in the continuing imperial rivalry between China and the USA.

The first half of the webinar will be a presentation of Liberation Theology in biblical global contexts. There will also be an opportunity for discussion and reflection, with prayers offered in the local languages of the global Sabeel movement.

This event will take place via zoom on 29th November, at 8pm UK time.

The Very Revd Dr Gregory C. Jenks is Dean of Christ Church Cathedral, Grafton, Australia. Prior to his current appointment, he was Dean of St George’s College, Jerusalem. Greg is President of Sabeel Australia and serves on the Executive of the Australia Palestine Advocacy Network (APAN).
