For years supporters of Palestinian human rights have been writing letters to MPs and government officials, signing petitions, marching and protesting, trying to raise awareness among the public about the illegality and brutality of Israel’s occupation and its treatment of Palestinian people, and trying to get our government and the international community to put a stop to it.
Successive governments have been complicit in the whole thing and even allow arms not just to be exported to Israel, but manufactured by Israeli companies, like Elbit, here in Britain.
Palestine Action is a direct action group who are campaigning to Shut Elbit Down. Speakers from the campaign will discuss the aims of the organisation, the campaign and the variety of ways in which supporters of Palestinian human rights can help.
