UK Parliamentarians urge immediate publication of a database listing companies involved in settlement-related activities that infringes human rights of Palestinians.
The cross-party group of UK parliamentarians are urging the publication of a business and human rights database which lists companies that are involved in settlement-related activities. These activities have a direct and adverse effect on the human rights of Palestinians who live under occupation.
A letter has been sent to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, urging her to immediately publish the UN business and human rights database. It is being submitted during the 42nd Session of the UN Human Rights Council.
The short letter briefly sets out why the publication of the database is urgent and critical. It also includes a brief critique of the UK government’s position of resolute opposition to the Database.
