UK Advocacy Tour – Full list of public events
In just over 2 weeks’ time we have Sahar Francis, Human Rights Lawyer, and Revd Ashraf Tannous, Palestinian pastor in Bethlehem, visiting the UK for an advocacy tour. Have a look at all the events they are doing and come along!
Manchester: Wednesday 15th October
London: Friday 17th October
Conference Update: We are pleased to announce that former BBC journalist and LBC broadcaster Sangita Myska will be the panel chair at our conference. We have an amazing line-up of speakers at our first in-person conference for several years. Click here to read the bios of Revd Ashraf and Sahar to find out more about them. Don’t miss out!
Tickets cost £15 +booking fee. The first hour of the conference (9.30am-10.30 am) will be time for chat, networking and refreshments. The later start of 10.30am for the beginning of the speaking programme means that hopefully those travelling from further afield have time to get there. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
Southport and Liverpool: Saturday 18th October
If you live in the North West of England we have 2 events that we would like to invite you to. In Southport come and join Revd Ashraf at a coffee morning, listen to him speak and ask him any questions! If you would prefer a more reflective event, we invite you to Liverpool Parish Church for a prayer vigil & conversation with Revd Ashraf in the evening.
No need to book for either of these events, just turn up! Members of Sabeel-Kairos in the North West will be delighted to see you there.
Leeds – Sunday 19th October
Revd Ashraf will be sharing his story about living as a Christian in Palestine and talking about what the current situation is like for the Palestinian church. Come with your questions, and ready to be inspired to act! Leeds Minster is central for transport links and Middle Eastern food will be provided by Real Hope Leeds. Booking essential on the link below for catering numbers.
