Calls to action and solidarity from Palestinian Christians
Here you will find links to the key documents, statements and calls to action from our partners in Palestine and the wider Palestinian Church.
The Kairos Document 2009 – A moment of truth
A word of faith, hope and love from the heart of Palestinian suffering
The original Kairos Palestine document in 2009 called on Churches worldwide to help Palestinians get their freedom back.
“Our question to our brothers and sisters in the Churches today is: Are you able to help us get our freedom back, for this is the only way you can help the two peoples attain justice, peace, security and love?”

Cry for Hope 2020 – cryforhope.org
Cry for Hope was issued by Kairos Palestine (a network of Palestinian Christians) on the eve of Israel’s annexation of the West Bank.
“We have arrived at a critical point in the struggle to end the oppression of the Palestinian people. The State of Israel’s adoption of the Nation State Law in 2018 legalized institutional discrimination in Israel and the Palestinian territories, officially depriving Palestinians of their rights to life, livelihood, and a future in their homeland.”
A Call for Repentance: An Open Letter from Palestinian Christians 2023
The Call for Repentance from many Churches and Christian organisations in Palestine was in response to the Churches silence on the unfolding genocide in Gaza, and the theological support and justification for Israel’s aggressive war.
“… Further, we watch with horror the way many western Christians are offering unwavering support to Israel’s war against the people of Palestine. While we recognize the numerous voices that have spoken and continue to speak for the cause of truth and justice in our land, we write to challenge western theologians and church leaders who have voiced uncritical support for Israel and to call them to repent and change. Sadly, the actions and double standards of some Christian leaders have gravely hurt their Christian witness and have severely distorted their moral judgment with regards to the situation in our land.”
