Christmas Appeal 2025! Double the hope this Christmas for children in Zababdeh

This Christmas one of the projects we are raising money for is an Activity Day for displaced children in Zababdeh, West Bank, organised by Kairos Palestine and the YMCA.

Mohammad from the YMCA popular committee explains why:

“On a cold, rainy night last January a brutal attack from the Israeli military displaced the entire population of Jenin refugee camp. 19,000 people fled from there in 1 night, people were dying. It was hugely traumatic, especially for the children. Hundreds of families who used to have workshops inside the camps have lost their

income and can’t go back.  3000 refugees are staying at the American University, but it is impossible to provide shelter for all these people.  The children are being provided with schooling by UNWRA, but they have lost their normal lives.”

From midday on December 2nd to midday on the 9th, every donation made to the Sabeel-Kairos UK Christmas Appeal via the Big Give Challenge will be matched up to £10,200! A £20 donation becomes £40 or if you give £50 it becomes £100!

If we raise our initial target of £10,200 for the Christmas Activity day, then we would love to increase our target to £18,000 so we can also support Sabeel Jerusalem’s Needy Families Fund which provides food and energy grants for families in need in Palestine.
