Red Letter Christians – Daily devotional Reflections from Bethlehem throughout Advent

Our friends at Red Letter Christians have produced a wonderful resource this year where we can turn our hearts and minds to Bethlehem in this holy season.

Written by Palestinian Christians living in the heart of the Holy Land and their allies, this devotional invites us to consider the world-changing truth that God is with us, Emmanuel – not from a place of comfort, but in the rubble of suffering, injustice, and violence. As we watch the horrors unfolding in Gaza, we are reminded that the Savior of the world was born in the midst of violence, as a refugee in an occupied land.

This devotional not only calls us to pray but to act. It is a powerful invitation to embody the love, justice, and peace that Christ demonstrated in His life. This is a call to remember that faith is not passive but active, urging us to participate in God’s work of healing and reconciliation in the world. As we await the coming of Christ, may this devotional inspire you to reflect, pray, and take action in the fight for justice and peace for all people.
