As a group of civil society organisations made up of trade unions, charities, NGOs, faith, climate justice, human rights, cultural, campaigning, and solidarity organisations, we believe that the right to protest is precious and should be defended. Kairos Palestine welcomes with deep appreciation and hope the prophetic resolutions adopted by the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches (WCC) during its meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 18–24 June 2025. We especially affirm the Central Committee’s endorsement of the Report of the Working Group on Palestine and Israel (Document 02.2), which marks a turning point in the moral and theological witness of the global church.
