We have joined the Stop Rosebank coalition to challenge the UK Government not to give in to Big Oil and directly fund one of the companies most complicit in Israel’s illegal settlements and funding of the Israeli military.

Most countries recognize Palestinian statehood, yet Israel’s international law violations are accelerating, with near-total impunity, causing mass displacement, widespread death, and an escalating humanitarian crisis throughout the occupied Palestinian territory. For real impact and to avoid complicity, States must turn their expressions of solidarity into concrete, life-saving action, and any plans for a way forward must place Palestinians as the main architects of their own future. Kairos Palestine welcomes with deep appreciation and hope the prophetic resolutions adopted by the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches (WCC) during its meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 18–24 June 2025. We especially affirm the Central Committee’s endorsement of the Report of the Working Group on Palestine and Israel (Document 02.2), which marks a turning point in the moral and theological witness of the global church. These were the words of the Most Revd Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, following his meeting with our Director and Palestinian delegation when he met and prayed with them on Tuesday 10th September.
